Thursday

I had to come back to this because I had a thought that was nagging me :). I have a friend who is currently dealing with infertility. We aren't close enough for her to feel comfortable sharing her heart about it, but when she's asked for prayer, I can see the painful emotions just below the surface. Then I think about my friend who is adopting after being unable to conceive and my own short battle with infertility before I got pregnant with my son. The gut reaction to this from a personal perspective is to question "Why me Lord? Will you not give me a child because I would be a bad mom?"

My pressing thought is this: I am so thankful that the Lord loves those little mother- and fatherless children SO MUCH that He would give them such a loving Christian home :). Children are gifts from God, but what an EXTRA special blessing adoption is for all involved!

Consider this: we were all born of a human father and mother and only until we are saved do we become chosen adopted brothers and sisters of Christ in the Family of God. He loves adoption and He loves you, barren woman! Be fruitful and multiply!

Thank You Jesus for loving every woman and every child!
