It's been a long weekend.
Thank You , Father, for getting me through it. You are so good to me. I'm still sorting it all out, but I have renewed motivation and will to persevere, and new perspective to help my attitude and decisions. You knew exactly who I should talk to, and I'm so glad I did. She was a great help to me and she spoke with wisdom.
"Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. They are not just idle words for you—they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess." Deuteronomy 32:46-47
You take Your Word very seriously, Lord. You would not speak it if it wasn't true. The very act of Your speech MAKES it true even if it wasn't before. Something inside me is kindled by an honest, open look into scripture. It changes me as I read it. Your Spirit within me is fed. My mind is awakened. It is life, light, joy, and salvation. It is active - put into action as I read and obey. I am weak and weary without a daily dose. And, I suspicion, I will need more and more each day as I mature. Oh, aren't You just so good to sustain me as I learn?!? Oh You are so good!
Lord, watch over my husband as he travels. Watch over my children as they sleep and their bodies try to kick their sicknesses. Watch over me as I seek to do what You apportion for me this week. Watch over my sister and give her peace as she waits expectantly for her baby to arrive.
I am so excited about the trip that I believe You want me to go on. I have no idea how to move ahead, and I feel as though I have let it become an idol. I surrender it to You, Father. It's not mine to carry. I will follow my husband's lead and let him discern what we need to do. Please quicken his heart as he looks to You. Stir Your Spirit to help him.
I hope I am not overstepping my bounds. I am asking You to do what I believe is Your will, but if it is not, You of course know best! Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Your power, Your mercy, Your love. Thank You for the abundance we enjoy, the blessings You pour out upon us. Thank You for being so intimately involved in my life - making me, molding me, using me... You are my Savior and King.
