Friday

It was SOOO hard to get up this morning, Lord. Which confirms to me that I'm getting spiritually lazy along with my growing gut of fat from Christmas leftovers.

To practice my verse:

Christ the Center
Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20

"Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith." Galatians 3:7-9

It's so fitting that I should be reading this this morning because I was just reading about it last night, during my Perspectives homework. Yes, I'm so excited about the class that I've begun doing the first lesson already :). I figure I might as well get a leg up while I have time and ample motivation!

But today, besides being concerned about a number of people (Jay, Donda and family, the Laurenti's, the Hamby's, the Couch's, etc), I want to be most concerned with my husband. Not because he is struggling, but because up to now, I haven't spent a substantial amount of time in prayer for him. Probably because he seems so capable and because I don't fear for him at all. I know You have a hold of him, so I don't worry. But intercession is not worry. And there is power in a praying wife's prayers. I haven't read the book, but I understand how important it is... Well, maybe not HOW important it is, but THAT it IS important.

Here are the areas of prayer for him:
1. His Wife
2. His Work
3. His Finances
4. His Sexuality
5. His Affection
6. His Temptations
7. His Mind
8. His Fears
9. His Purpose
10. His Choices
11. His Health
12. His Protection
13. His Trials
14. His Integrity
15. His Reputation
16. His Priorities
17. His Relationships
18. His Fatherhood
19. His Past
20. His Attitude
21. His Marriage
22. His Emotions
23. His Walk
24. His Talk
25. His Repentance
26. His Deliverance
27. His Obedience
28. His Self-Image
29. His Faith
30. His Future

OK, so I have no excuse about knowing what to pray for him, because that's a pretty extensive list! Even though I have no idea where she
actually goes will all of those ideas.

Lord, I could pray all day over that list. Which one is most beneficial right now? Well, I think his fears would be a good one. He spent much of last
night studying for a meeting he will lead to whip the leadership into place. I imagine there's at least some fear as he considers how to best do that.

So I stand against that fear, and pray that You help him release those fears to You. I praise You for how You have worked in his life. I praise You for
how You're currently at work in his life. I praise You for how You desire to work in his life. I praise You for how You WILL work in his life.

Now be at work in me. Make these words I'm memorizing affix themselves in my heart and become living and active in me.
