"Each Christian is a dispenser. God has supplied each one with gifts He has selected (He does not offer an array of options), with the good of all in mind. When we imagine that these gifts are for our own mere satisfaction, we are forgetting they are intended for service. All that I have is meant to contribute to the needs of others, and what I need will be supplied through God's dispensers. Thus He unifies and harmonizes the whole church, which is his body, making each dispenser indispensable, for each dispenses a grace which is peculiarly his.

"Serve one another with the particular gifts God has given each of you, as faithful dispensers of the magnificently varied grace of God" (l Pt 4:10 NEB)." Elisabeth Elliott

I love this concept, Lord! How awesome it is that You provide for our every need as we dispense the gifts You give us! I love giving big checks. I love leading. I love saying a cheerful word of encouragement. I love discussing deep issues with the intent of mutual growth in wisdom. I can't wait to find out what You have in mind for the use of our new house! You give so that we might give. Sons and daughters, money, possessions, knowledge, love, time, etc. All of these You own, You bestow, and we dispense through Your will. There's nothing like the feeling of fulfilling a purpose. I thoroughly enjoy discovering the purposes for the things You've planned!

Father, I ask that You bless abundantly the workers on our new house, the future buyers of our old house, the friends we've left, the friends we have yet to meet, the merchants who will benefit from our home purchases... Prepare the perfect church for our family to continue to grow. Create a need there that You can fill through us. Bless our neighbors and help their hearts be open to us as we attempt to live transparent, blameless, upright lives before You and in front of them. Help our families communicate changing expectations and enjoy the freedom You have allowed us.

Most of all, Father God, I devote myself and my family to Your loving care. May we be light and salt, overflowing with joy for our Savior, people of grace, dispensing that grace to everyone we meet. You are the Lord of Lords, King of Kings. How privileged I am to have access to You, let alone be the object of Your enraptured affections! Yours Truly, laura
