Father God, You are more real to me that ever. But I want to know You as so real I could almost reach out and touch You! I want to have an ever-present sense of Your presence. I want You and I to be so closely linked and so intricately entwined that I can talk to You as if You were another me, but at the same time be so humbled and grateful to be with One so perfect (which is NOT me at all). You are already my best friend, but I want to be a better friend to You! Teach me how to be a good friend through the earthly friendships I invest myself in.
Lord, help me know when to quit. Quit eating, quit thinking about the house, quit buying, quit talking, quit watching TV, quit surfing the web... Help me know what to do instead. Give me the power and will to choose the better. I am nothing without You, Lord. Be something in me!
