The victorious believer knows that the Lord is making him adequate for any difficult situation. That’s why God gives us the Holy Spirit. When we depend upon God, we’ll conquer our “Goliaths.” Charles Stanley
Don't I know it, Lord?!? I need to repent for yelling at my son today. Losing patience. I know You can conquer that Goliath in me. I need to also repent for being a little loose in my speech with mom. I feel more freedom now because I'm not so crippled by judgment, disrespect, and tactlessness. But I still don't know what it is I should say with her. I am praising You that evidently yesterday's conversation got her to thinking about some things that she wanted to then follow up with me about today. But nothing serious. Perhaps You're building to that? I get so frustrated in conversation because I feel like I'm always trying to weigh what she says with the Truth. She wants validation, agreement, but I can't give it to her very often, so I end up revising her statements and it probably makes me seem arrogant... Ug.
It's a good thing that You are concerned with her salvation and will speak to her about things that You want to tell her. It frees me from thinking I need to say it all in exactly the right way, or that I have to get her nailed down about anything. She's not the type to be nailed down. But Praise Your Name she IS the kind to dwell on things afterwards.
Anyway, focus her mind on what You want her to have gotten from our conversation. Speak it deep into her heart. Give her a thirst for more of You. Continue to keep me humble and open. I want to obey You in all things. Please help me enjoy my family tonight and keep talking to You through it all! I love You, Jesus. I love You, Father. I love You Holy Spirit.
