"But doom to you who fight your Maker—
you're a pot at odds with the potter!
Does clay talk back to the potter:
'What are you doing? What clumsy fingers!'
Would a sperm say to a father,
'Who gave you permission to use me to make a baby?'
Or a fetus to a mother,
'Why have you cooped me up in this belly?'" Isaiah 45:9-10 (Message)
I have been so enjoying The Message translation, Lord! What clever and easily understandable language! I know it's a paraphrase, but I love reading the fresh perspective! I pray for the opportunity to buy some to give away to non-believers who might benefit from it.
Lord, You are so good. Why do I ever doubt? Thank You for working out the lady's situation and encouraging her. I would like to keep praying for her and her son. Thank You for a good opportunity to minister to a soon-to-be-newlywed. Thank You for the opportunity to work in the relationship I'm struggling with at church - I pray You remind me to submit and love these people. I pray You help things go well tonight at dinner (and in preparation for dinner). Thank You for the revelation that I need to give my kids more physical touch. I pray it helps them feel more secure and more loved. Give us insight and wisdom on how to deal with Edward's thumb-sucking habit. It's frustrating to all of us and we want him to be proud of himself and succeed.
Lord, I thank You for bringing me out in the clear where things look a little less dark and foggy. Thank You for allowing me opportunities to partner with other believers to do Your work. Thank You for blessing my life so fully that I literally can't think of anything of any substance to complain about!!! May my day, my heart, and my speech be a blessing to You, Lord. I love You.
