Judgment is coming, but may the thought of it cause us to weep, plead, and pray. Never boast or feel satisfaction. Only one thing stands between us and the lost: a blood-stained cross. No matter how common this attitude is, it is terribly offensive to Christ. May we humble ourselves before Him, repent, and daily choose to lay down the albatross of our own egos.
Oh, God, give us a longing—not for the sin of this world to be judged—but for the sinners of this world to be forgiven. Give me the passion to pray for the salvation of the lost. I'm not sure what You want to say to me, Lord... I've been hearing about urgency and about Your judgment of the lost since yesterday at church. Is there someone in particular You think I should be talking to? I've thought about my mom, but I've tried that before many times and finally decided that she needs to see You working in my life, not be convinced logically You're true. OK. Well, if you think I should, then give me the words to say and the correct timing. I'll do anything You want me to as long as You do it through me. I'm not good enough in myself to do it alone.
